Description
The Light Stacks by Matt Gagnon are an ongoing exploration of the emotional frequencies of color, material, and texture. Assembled through an improvisational adding and subtracting of layers in search of combinations where material and color resonate with spatial phenomena such as light and time.
Each Light Stack is one of a kind hand made in Los Angeles. A sampling of materials: Glass, Acrylic, Concrete, Aluminum, Steel, Brass, Copper, Oak, Maple, Ash, Poplar, MDF, found Rocks, Fabrics, Patinas, Pigments and of course the refraction of LED light. So far Matt Gagnon has created stacks as high as 35 feet.
